Spring Fling Ashland County Park District’s Family Nature Club invites you to a Spring Fling March 20 from 2 till 4 pm at the Kroc Center. Each participant will receive a “passport” that they can get stamped at many stations. Take an observation walk, make a plaster cast of an animal track, pound flowers to make a pretty craft, see if you can make a bird nest as well as a bird, touch rocks and talk to a geology expert, learn basic tips on identifying birds. Refreshments will be available. Dress to go outside. Free and open to the public. Mohican Wildlife Weekend Activities Saturday 10am-4pm. Ashland County Park District volunteers will be on hand. Tim Leslie will lead a birdwalk at 10am and a nature hike at 1pm. The following activities are ongoing: fishing at the pond (weather permitting; bring your pole!), nature mystery hikes, nature crafts and hands-on activities, Native American crafts and skills, Geology, animal pelts to touch, live bunnies and maple syrup for sale. Plus there will be a special appearance: an interactive snake program by Kristin Stanford, Lake Erie Watersnake Recovery Plan Coordinator aka the Island Snake Lady! Lunch and snacks will be available for purchase.

A brief program and refreshments will be a part of this meeting.
