Friends of the Ashland County
Park District
Friends Mission:
To support, promote and further the mission and goals of the Ashland County Park District, which will be the sole beneficiary of the actions and activities of this Organization. We will do this by:
*Providing Social, educational and recreational activities for our members;
*Further the scientific pursuits of the Park district;
*Encourage volunteerism;
*Provide financial support for the park district by organizing fund raising activities, accepting gifts and bequests, and submitting grants.
As a member of this organization you will:
* Receive a periodic newsletter informing you of up- coming events;
*Have a say in the activities and direction of both the Park district and the friends organization;
Have an opportunity to work with people who have an interest in the out-of- doors and the environment.
The Yearly dues are payable in March. If you are submitting this application during some other month, then the dues are prorated according to the chart below. For instance: if you are applying for membership for your family in December you would pay$ 4.50, then next march your dues for the whole year $18.50, would become due. If you wish, there is a space provided where you can pay next years dues at this time.
Park board meetings are the first Monday each month at 6:30 @ Trinity Lutheran Church
Public is welcome to attend.
T-Shirts Available
T-shirts are being sold by the Friends to identify our members at Park District events, and to be sold to the general public as a fund raiser. Shirts are in either 100% cotton or a 50/50 blend. Colors are white or khaki, and sizes are adult small, medium, large and extra large. The T-shirts will have the park district logo on the front with the Ashland County Park District lettered around the logo. The shirts will cost $10.00 each.
Also available are t-shirts which were sold at the 2006 Byers Woods Deer Run-Hillsdale Cross County Invitational. These shirts are heather gray with hunter green printing. Cost is only $5.00 each
Any one interested in purchasing a T- shirt may do so at any Park sponsored event, or by contacting one of the directors.
