 Birdwalks at Byers

Tim Leslie, volunteer with Ashland County Park District, will lead a series of bird walks at Byers Woods, from 9-11, the fourth Saturday of every month. Upcoming dates:

Wildflower Walk April 15

 Sam Weyrick, volunteer with the Ashland County Park District, will lead a wildflower walk at Crall Woods, from 2-4. Come and enjoy the early spring wildflowers in this very special habitat!

Wildflower Walk May 13

Please join Sam Weyrick, volunteer with the Ashland County Park District for a wildflower walk at Crall Woods, May 13, from 2 to 4. Come and enjoy the later wildflowers in this very special habitat!

As part of Mohican Wildlife Weekend, Ashland County Park District volunteers will be at the Cooke Family Wildlife Conservation Area from 10-4 on Saturday, April 28.

Scheduled programs and walks:

Tim Leslie will lead a birdwalk at 10 am and a nature hike at 1 pm. Roger Miller will lead a Wildlife Habitat walk at 2pm to show what Pheasants Forever has done to create habitat for wildlife. Steve Huber will teach Nature Sketching from 10-12.

The following activities are ongoing: Fishing at the pond weather permitting (bring your own pole); nature crafts and hands-on activities; Native American crafts and skills; arrowheads; dog and bird demonstrations; animal pelts to touch and identify; and more!
